RHUDDLAN library has been a place of song for the past few months.

Every other Tuesday afternoon, the library host Music Memories - a singalong run by Rhuddlan Dementia Group.

The first eight sessions were funded by Denbighshire County Council.

As they have proved such a hit, the group has decided to fund the next six sessions.

These will run until the end of July.

Cllr Arwel Roberts, chairman of the group, said: "We have been so pleased at the positive responses from the people coming to the singing sessions.

"Everyone enjoys the welcoming and supportive way that the sessions run. Ceri, the accompanist, always takes the time to find out about people’s favourite songs so that we can all enjoy them together”.

The group is now making bids for external funding.

The free sessions, which start at 1pm and run until 2.30pm, are open to all.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are offered. The next session is April 16 and every two weeks after that.
