A BOXER who drove dangerously failed to turn up to court – because he has diarrhoea.

Freedom Eubank, cousin of world champion Chris Eubank Jr, was due to appear for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court today.

But at the hearing for the 28-year-old, his defence counsel William England said he had been contacted by Eubank’s mother.

She told the barrister that her son had been up all night vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea, and would not be able to attend court.

Mr England said: “I spoke to the defendant’s mother at 8am, and her son had been suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea overnight.”

Judge Christine Laing QC had been due to sentence him for driving dangerously on Bear Road in Brighton on December 1 last year.

She said Eubank, from Brighton, would need to get a medical certificate to prove he was too ill to attend court, and issued a warrant for his arrest.

In reply, Mr England said: “The police know where he is, one only has to look at his surname to work that one out.”
