A TEENAGER has been arrested after a bicycle yobs robbed a man of his carrier bag during a vicious robbery in Clacton.
The 18-year-old victim was beaten and robbed during the attack, which happened in Herbert Road at about 8pm on Friday, January 18.
He was walking along the road when three people rode up to him.
The victim was punched and kicked and hit him round the head with an object before they made off with a carrier bag he was holding.
A teenager has now been arrested in relation to the incident and another has been voluntarily interviewed.
A spokesman for Essex Police added: "A 17 year-old boy from Clacton was arrested on February 1 on suspicion of robbery and has been released on bail until February 19.
"A 16 year-old boy from Clacton was voluntarily interviewed on February 5.
"Our enquiries are ongoing."
