Charity installs new knife amnesty bin following spate of arrests
A CLACTON charity has installed a new knife amnesty bin in Harwich.
The initiative comes after a spate of arrests for knife possession in the town.
The Only Cowards Carry knife bin is a secure drop-off point outside the Park Pavilion in Barrack Lane for all types of knives or sharp objects and is hoped to prevent knife-crime.
The charity was founded by Caroline Shearer after her son Jay Whiston was stabbed and killed at a house party.
