THERE is major disruption on all train lines after a car crashed into a level crossing.
The car hit the level crossing barriers at Ingatestone earlier today.
Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until at least 2.30pm.
Network Rail engineers are on site.
Braintree, Clacton, Ipswich and Norwich services have been affected.
UPDATE 2.45PM: Following a car hitting level crossing barriers earlier today at Ingatestone all lines have now reopened.
Train services running through this station are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 4pm.
A car hit and damaged the level crossing equipment at Ingatestone station earlier, Network Rail engineers have attended and repaired the damage and the line through Ingatestone has now re-opened.
