CLACTON Pier’s boss hailed a “fantastic” season of festive activities before announcing a New Year’s sale.
The town’s seafront attraction staged Christmas events for the first time in more than five years, including a Santa’s grotto.
Billy Ball, the pier’s director, confirmed customers can now enjoy a 10 per cent discount on an annual pier pass throughout January.
The passes will also include 20 per cent off entry to the pier’s Discovery Bay soft play and Skull Point adventure golf.
Anyone buying a year’s fishing pass during the month will pay £50 instead of the usual £75.
“We appreciate things can be a little difficult for people financially after Christmas, so we wanted to come up with some special offers to help out,” said Mr Ball.
“We were delighted with how our festive programme went down and we just want to keep the fun coming in 2019.”
