POLICE were called to moove a herd of cows which gathered on a rural road during the night.
Officers from Harwich were alerted to livestock on the road between Bradfield and Wix at about 1am.

Essex Police Tendring's Facebook page said: "Officers have hoofed it over from Harwich to get the cows mooved and thankfully the road is now clear.
It added: "This post will, I'm sure, be milked....but also show an insight into one of the many different challenges facing our officers.
