A WHOLE host of spooktacular Halloween fun is coming to Maldon and Burnham this half term.

From fearsome fancy dress to creepy crafts there is lots to keep youngsters entertained during the school holidays.

On Wednesday there will be a children’s day at All Saint’s Church in Little Totham from 10.30am to 3pm.

There will be painting and gluing for kids aged five to 12 to take part in.

The Vintage Rose in Quest Place, Maldon, will be hosting a Halloween party on Thursday.

Two sessions will run with the first from 3pm to 5pm for children aged up to seven and the second from 5.30pm to 7.30pm for children aged eight to 13.

There will be games, crafts, face painting and a spooky Halloween tea box for each child.

Fancy dress is optional and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited and should be booked by calling 07804406561.

Maldon Library in White Horse Lane will be hosting its Please don’t feed the vampire event on Friday from 10am to 11.30am.

It will include a morning of crafts and a scary story. Fancy dress is welcomed.

Burnham Library, in Station Road, will run a Kids Creepy Crafts event from 11am to 1pm on Friday.

Next Saturday Maldon Carnival will host Halloween at the Prom from 10am to 3pm.

The event at Promenade Park will include a spooky puzzle to solve and a maze. On completion youngsters will be awarded a treat bag.

There is a fancy dress competition, photo booth and slime workshop.

Burnham Museum will also put on a children’s event on Saturday with its Witches Fun Day from 10.30am to 4pm.

There will be a tombola, gift stall and refreshments along with a host of activities.
