THERE will be spooky goings-on in Clacton’s Princes Theatre during half term as the spooktacular Monster Ball returns.

The ball is suitable for all ages and includes a children’s entertainer and music throughout the night along with drop dead decorations, gruesome games and plenty of sweets up for grabs.

There are also refreshments and themed-food, and prizes for the best costumes.

Mick Skeels, cabinet member for leisure and tourism at Tendring Council, which runs the theatre, said witches, ghouls and ghosts of all ages were welcome at the ball.

“We know from previous years that this is a really popular and fun event,” he said.

“With all the costumes and make-up, games and music, and an entertainer, it is really one not to be missed.

“Taking place in half term also means it is the ideal treat for children without worrying about early bedtimes or homework – and keeps Halloween itself free for trick or treating.”

The event takes place from 5pm on October 24.

Tickets cost £3.50 adults, £3 children, or £12 for a family of four from 01255 686633 or online at princestheatre.co.uk.
