MIGHTY robot Titan is returning to Clacton Airshow with his crowd-pulling antics next month.

The metal monster will wow audiences on the ground in between the airborne entertainment, on August 23-24.

In the sky, the world-famous Tigers Army Parachute Display team will leap into action on both days of the event, trailing smoke and flying flags as they plunge earthwards.

They will also perform a dusk jump as part of the twilight display on the Thursday.

More flights have also been unveiled for the aerial line-up.

The spectacular RAF Chinook Display Team are appearing on the second day of the show, demonstrating the huge helicopter’s amazing agility.

The Bronco Demo Team’s bright graphics create a vivid and unique effect when they are in flight, in a display promoting peace and remembrance.

Two of the earliest British-designed jet aircraft are returning to this year’s airshow.

The Norwegian Historic Squadron’s Vampire jets are regulars at Clacton.

The P-51D Mustang – one of the finest Allied fighters of the Second World War and part of the Hangar 11 Collection – is also taking to the skies again.

Back on the ground, Clacton RNLI is holding an open day where people can get a closer look at the lifeboats, and the pier is staging a spectacular fireworks display as a grand finale to day one of the airshow, which is staged by Tendring Council.

Tourism boss Mick Skeels said: “Each year the crowds grow and hopefully that will be the case this year.”
