A FLOOD alert has been issued due to the forecast for high tides at Clacton.
The forecast indicates a series of risk tides over the next couple of days.
The tides are expected to be higher than usual which may cause minor flooding in low lying coastal areas over the next few days as high water is due at Clacton at midnight tonight.
The warning covers the Clacton coast to St Peters Flat, including the Rivers Colne and Blackwater Estuaries.
The detailed forecast indicates a peak level of 2.72mAODN, which is 0.21m above tide tables.
The wind forecast is Force 6, West-South-West.
