THERE'S a double bill of superb music at Clacton's Princes Theatre over the next two days.

Tribute show Bye Bye Baby is back due to popular demand, taking audiences on a musical journey through the career of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

From their early beginning in the 1950s, when Frankie first joined the group, the show celebrates the greatest hits such as Beggin', Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like A Man, Lets Hang On, Who Loves You, December ’63 (Oh What A Night), Bye Bye Baby, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Fallen Angel and Grease, through to a superb grand finale medley of more of the group’s famous tracks.

Songs which graced such films as The Deer Hunter, Dirty Dancing and Grease are recreated with snappy choreography and the trademark vocal harmonies as Jamie Ledwith scales the falsetto heights of Valli.

On Saturday night, Wayne Ellington dusts off the much-loved Nat King Cole songbook.

The legendary entertainer sold more than 30 million records during his career and was renowned for his unique voice.

The hits included Straighten Up and Fly Right, Unforgettable, When I Fall In Love, The Christmas Song and Mona Lisa.

His late daughter Natalie Cole brought her father’s music to new generation in the Nineties when she added her own vocals to her father's 1961 stereo re-recording of Unforgettable.

Today, Wayne Ellington’s warm, silky voice suits Nat King Cole’s songs perfectly.

He doesn’t mimic the great man, but performs his music with honesty and respect in a show which is a beautiful tribute.

Tickets for Wayne Ellington are £23 (£22 concessions) and £22.50 (£21.50 concessions) for Bye Bye Baby from the Princes Theatre box office on 01255 686633.
