SCHOOLS have issued an alert after a youngster was approached by a stranger near Frinton Primary.
The incident happened at about 8.20am this morning when a year six boy was walking towards the Fifth Avenue school.
A man drove beside the youngster, opened the car door and asked if he wanted a lift.
The boy immediately ran away, and told teachers about the incident when he got to school.
He described the potential predator as an older man with grey hair and a medium build, driving a small blue car.
An alert was issued by Frinton Primary School through a shared system, which sends a warning about the incident to other schools in the area.
