WARTIME planes will roar over Walton’s Naze Tower in a special commemorative flypast.
A Hurricane and a Spitfire from the RAF Memorial Flight will swoop low over Walton just before appearing at the Clacton Airshow next week.
It has been organised by Frinton and Walton Heritage Trust to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The trust will set up wartime displays by the Naze Tower to mark the occasion, including military vehicles and classic cars, from 12noon on Thursday August 27.
The flypast is due to take place at 1.50pm, but the exact time will depend on the weather.
