TWOmen have been arrested on drugs offences after being stopped for allegedly not wearing their seatbelts.
Police stopped a van in Oliver’s Road, Clacton, at 10am on Wednesday as part of a road policing operation.
Officers found what is believed to be Class A drugs.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers stopped the van as they believed the occupants were not wearing seatbelts.
“A 36-year-old man from Clacton and a 25-year-old man from Jaywick were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.”
The pair were taken to Clacton police station for questioning.
