A PAIR of bungling fishermen who were rescued after sending out an SOS call from their DIY dinghy say they would do it all again.

The men's makeshift boat cost just £9 to build using insulation boards, scrap plywood, laminate flooring and wire coat hangers stuck together with glue.

They had to call out the lifeboat when an oar snapped, leaving them drifting out to sea.

Builder Jamie, 27, told the Gazette: "“We would do it again - but with more planning and the correct safety gear.”
