A CLACTON man is among the latest batch of trainee paramedics after making a radical career switch.
Damien Lucraft, 26, has a degree in graphic design and worked as a recruitment consultant and in management at Sainsbury’s.
He has joined more than 400 student paramedics currently in training.
Damien decide to switch jobs after helping out a family friend.
“My mum has a friend with Down’s Syndrome and I started taking him out for the afternoon,” he said.
“I realised I wanted to help people and really make a difference.”
