A CLACTON nurse is set to face allegations of incompetence and inappropriate behaviour later this month.
Gary Snape will appear before the Nursing and Midwifery Council on January 28 for a week-long hearing.
He is accused of a large number of mistakes and indiscretions since 2009.
Snape’s alleged offences include inappropriately asking a patient to wear her school uniform to her next appointment.
He is also accused of making incorrect patient assessments, failing to provide the history of a patient’s sexual abuse and mental state, and failing to complete care plans and risk assessments.
There are 15 alleged failings in total, occurring between December 2009 and April 2013.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council said it had been forced to question whether his fitness to practice was impaired by his alleged misconduct and lack of competence.
The hearing is due to last until February 4.
