A TEENAGE girl managed to fight off a stranger who tried to abduct her as she walked to school in Frinton.
The 14-year-old was walking along Rochford Way, towards Tendring Technology College, when she was approached by a man.
He put his arm around the girl’s shoulder and tried to lead her away to his car, before trying to grab her with his other hand.
Luckily, the girl managed to break away and dashed towards the school.
She reported the incident to teachers and the police were called.
The incident happened at about 10am yesterday. A text was sent to all the schools in the area, warning parents and teachers to be vigilant following the incident.
The man is described as aged about 70, about 6ft tall, and wearing dark trousers, a grey jumper and a beige sunhat. Anyone with information should call 101.
