A SANDCASTLE competition saw teams of adults get their hands dirty to create spectacular World Cup-themed sculptures on Frinton beach.
The annual contest is organised by chartered surveyor firm Daniel Connal Partnership, organised to give their clients a fun day on the beach.
This year’s contest carried a World Cup theme and the teams formed a selection of sculptures based on the tournament currently running in Brazil.
Creations included several stadiums and likenesses of the famous golden trophy.
Simon Jacklin from Daniel Connal Partnership said: “This is the fifth year we have run the event and it’s great to see professionals from solicitors to contractors and surveyors get creative.
“We had a really great day and there were some very impressive sculptures at the end. Our judges had a tough job this year.
“It’s something a bit different and great fun for everyone to get involved in.”
