A HOST of care homes will be opening their doors to the public for fun day events.
Pennypot Care Home in Clacton will run its free event on Friday June 20, from 10.30am-4pm.
It will include giant football, musical bingo and a mass of other events and refreshments to bring visitors into the Alton Road home.
Silversprings care home in Thorrington will also run an event on Sunday June 22.
It will include a barbecue, bouncy castle and face painting, as well as musical entertainment throughout the day.
The Tenpenny Hill care home will open its doors from 11am-4pm.
Several other homes around the area will also be running their own events.
The fun day events have been launched as part of National Care Home Open Day, a national scheme to encourage people to visit and feel comfortable at their local homes.
