FAIRPORT Convention is bringing a semi-acoustic spring tour to Clacton this week.
Long-serving member Dave Pegg returns to the fold after a kitchen accident left him with severed tendons earlier this year to play bass, with Simon Nicol (vocals, guitar), Ric Sanders (violin), Chris Leslie (mandolin, fiddle, vocals) and Gerry Conway (percussion) at the West Cliff Theatre on Thursday.
This show is part of a tour taking in more than 30 venues and festivals Fairport is playing in just over a month.
The Oxfordshire-based band is one of the most enduring group to emerge from the Sixties music scene and have won a coveted BBC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Tickets for the show are £21.50 and available by calling 01255 433344.
