AN MP met with Frinton patients to discuss the ongoing GP surgery crisis in the area.
Frinton Caradoc Surgery and Walton’s Vicarage Lane facility are nearing breaking point because bosses have been unable to recruit new doctors to fill vacant positions.
It has left the current staff struggling to cover huge numbers of patients.
Clacton MP Douglas Carswell attended the meeting with the Caradoc Surgery Patient Participation Group last week with more than 60 members to discuss the action he is taking to resolve the issue.
He told patients extra cash has been made available by NHS England to boost the surgery and help it recruit more staff.
NHS England also plans to work with Caradoc bosses until the end of May to implement a plan to help it move forward.
Mr Carswell said: “I’m looking forward to working with and supporting the excellent team at Caradoc and will be meeting with them again soon to see what further support they might need.”
