A CLACTON women’s club has donated a wheelchair to a Frinton care home to boost residents.
The Inner Wheel Club of Clacton has handed a wheelchair over to staff at Kilkenny Residential Home.
The donation is part of the Wheels Project – a celebration of the 90th birthday of the national Inner Wheel Clubs, an organisation for women with branches across the country.
Every branch was encouraged to donate a wheeled item to their community as part of the celebration.
And Clacton’s club president Sheila Norman decided on the residential home.
She said: “My mother is a resident there and I know it will be put to good use.
“It will enable staff to take residents for walks along the Greensward in Frinton and they will get a lot of use out of it.”
