CLACTON’s first naked bike ride was such a success it could pave the way for the UK’s first naked fun run.

The organiser of Saturday’s bike ride, which was an enviromental protest against car culture, said the day was “great fun”.

But some residents have slammed the event, which saw cyclists complete a 17km route baring all apart from cycling helmets, and branded the nudity as “disgusting”.

Robert Brown, organiser, said the day was a big success and “next year could have anything up to 150 people taking part”.
