A GROUP of Clacton traders is looking to set up a Mother’s Day market.
Clacton Town Partnership is organising the event in a bid to bring local traders together and to start raising cash for this year’s Christmas lights for Clacton.
The market will be held at Christmas Tree Island on Saturday March 9.
The idea is for relevant traders to come together and set up a one-stop shopping destination for Mother’s Day gifts.
Some stalls selling cakes and gifts have already been lined up.
Clacton Town Partnership chairman Mandy Rosier said: “We are still looking for more businesses to come and take part in this.
“It is a nice way to get local businesses involved and will give them an opportunity to boost their sales a bit.
“We are especially looking for a florist and a photographer to join in.
“It will also help us start raising money for the Christmas lights and events this year.
“We are determined to get the town lit up and looking fantastic for the festive season. It is what the partnership is all about.”
Any traders interested in joining the Mother’s Day market can call Mandy on 07958249095.
