TV historian Lucy Worsley brings her unique slant on the Georgians to Clacton Arts and Lits Society tomorrow night.
By day she is chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces while her evenings are spent writing history books and giving talks.
Her latest TV series - Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia - is currently being aired on the BBC on Wednesday nights.
They may be lacking the juicy scandals of the Tudors, but Lucy will still be making a passionate case for the gorgeous Georgians when she appears at Clacton's Princes Theatre.
The talk begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 to non-members on the door after 7.15pm.
