(Creephedge Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Creephedge Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 340m east of its junction with Rettendon Road for a distance of approximately 715m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th June 2019 for 35 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013192341A - Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex
and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Burnham Road, Rettendon Turnpike, Main Road, East Hanningfield Road, Rettendon Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 30th June 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water. An alternative route is available via Creephedge Lane, Willow Grove, Fen Roundabout, Burnham Road, Wickford Road, Woodham Road, Rettendon Turnpike, Main Road, East Hanningfield Road, Rettendon Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Galleywood Road, Great Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Galleywood Road, Great Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Greenland Gardens for a distance of approximately 25m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th May 2019 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000807965 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Dorset Avenue, Beehive Lane, Baddow Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 16th May 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tindal Street, Chelmsford and New London Road, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Tindal Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Tindal Square to its junction with Conduit Street, a distance of approximately 150m.
2. To temporarily close that length of New London Road, Chelmsford in the City
of Chelmsford from its junction with Conduit Street to its junction with Bellmead,
a distance of approximately 100m. The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2019 for 22 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231003341 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while removal of bus shelters/concrete base works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Market Road, Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South, Parkway, Victoria Road South and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.10) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Borough Council of Chelmsford (Waiting, Loading and Parking Consolidation) Order 2009" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 16th May 2019, exact dates will be specified on
. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
