Notice is hereby given Colchester Borough Council acting on behalf
of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated
powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an
Agreement dated 31 March 2011 proposes to make the above Order
under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4 (1), 4(2), 32, 35,45,46,49 and 53 and
Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Effect of the order:
1. To revoke limited waiting 2 hours no return within 2 hours 8am to
6pm Monday to Saturday and replace with limited waiting 2 hours
no return within 2 hours on the following lengths of road in the
Parish of Dedham in the Borough of Colchester
Road Description
High Street – Dedham
South side from its junction with Royal Square west
for 41.8 metres
North side from a point 17 metres west from its
junction with Mill Lane west for 14.7 metres
North side from a 31.7 metres west of its junction with
Mill Lane west for 20.7 metres
North side from a point 52.4 metres west of its
junction with Mill Lane west for 13.7 metres
North side from a point 71.1 metres west of its
junction with Mill Lane west for 8 metres
North side from its junction with Threadneedle Street

All residential properties on the West side of Boxted
Road (St Pauls Hospital service road), from Paita to
Kingswood will be able to purchase up to 2 parking
permits and unlimited visitor permits
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council
(Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking and Special Parking Area)
Order 2014 by inserting tile numbers TM055 330, TM055 332, TM055
335 & TL985 287 and by substituting tile numbers TL985 285 to
revision 2, TL990 285 to revision 1, TL990 287 to revision 1, TL990 277
to revision 1 & TL985 277 to revision 1.

the specified lengths of roads, a Statement of Reasons for proposing
to make the Orders and a copy of the Order to be amended may be

of On-Street Parking Permit Charges in
the Colchester Borough Area

Order 2014 Schedule 3 On-Street
Permit Parking Order
Notice is hereby given that the Colchester Borough Council as the
lead authority for The North Essex Parking Partnership, itself acting as
agents for the highway authority Essex County Council, intends, not
less than twenty one days from the date of this notice, to vary the
above Order relating to fees and charges under Section 35C and 46A
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. It is intended that the changes
will take place on 9th April 2018.
The variation will have the effect of changing the tariff of fees for
On-Street Parking, Exemptions and Permits – all other fees and
charges in the Order will continue at their existing tariffs. Existing and
proposed charges are detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the
above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of Recreation
Road, Colchester and Port Lane Colchester in the Borough of
Colchester, Recreation Road from its junction with Old Heath Road to
its end and Port Lane from its junction with Recreation Road for a
distance of approximately 80m in a northerly direction. The closure is
scheduled to commence on 21st March 2018 for 8 days, or where
stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2228774 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway
patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Port Lane, Barrack Street, Wimpole
Road, Old Heath Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Smythes
Green, Layer Marney in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction
with Maldon Road to its junction with Winters Hill, a distance of
approximately 431m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th
April 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2237246
– Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these
works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.
roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and
workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex
County Council.
An alternative route is available via Clears Road, Newbridge Road,
Chapel Road, Church Road, Maypole Road, Colchester Road, Maldon
Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Willow Avenue, Kirby Cross)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willow Avenue,
Kirby Cross in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Frinton
Road for a distance of approximately 27m in a northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th March 2018 for
5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034784465 – UK
Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
electric connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Willow Avenue, Elm Grove, Frinton
Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue,
Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately
165m north of its junction with Belle Vue Road for a distance of
approximately 30m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to
commence on 20th March 2018 for 1 night, or where stated on a valid
permit (AD037SM54349492 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates
may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or
displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while manhole replacement works
are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via The Cross, Rectory Road,
Belle Vue Road, The Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Ellis Road, Boxted)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ellis Road,
Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 120m
south of its junction with Mill Road for a distance of approximately
33m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence
on 9th April 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(AD03154426421 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for
these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public
and workforce while main works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Ellis Road, Mill Road, Straight
Road, Queens Head Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Crown Lane, Tendring)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crown Lane,
Tendring in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Colchester
Road for a distance of approximately 975m in a northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th March 2018 for 1 day,
or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W0000000IBRVD6RZ –
BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate
signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure
is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead
cabling works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Crown Lane, The Street, Crow
Lane, Hillhouse Lane, Thorpe Road, Colchester Road, Weeley Bypass
Roundabout, Colchester Road Roundabout, Little Clacton Weeley
Bypass and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Crowhurst Road, Colchester)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Popes Lane,
Colchester & Crowhurst Road, Colchester)
(Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Crowhurst Road, Colchester in
the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m north
of its junction with Papillon Road for a distance of approximately
10m in a northerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the One way order for Popes Lane and
Crowhurst Road as detailed in ‘The Colchester Borough (Popes
Lane, Manor Road, etc) (One Way) Order 1976 for the duration
of the closure.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th March 2018 for
3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03153920756 –
Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
repairing communication pipe works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Southway Eastbound, Rawstorn
Road, Manor Road, Maldon Road Roundabout, Popes Lane,
Crowhurst Road, Balkerne Hill Northbound, Crouch Street West,
Papillon Road, St Marys Fields and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
