(Footpath 1, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 1, Thorrington in the District of Tendring from its junction with B1027 Tenpenny Hill north for a distance of approximately 1000 metres to the railway crossing.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 8 January 2018 for 4 weeks or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while a barn is being demolition.
There is NO suitable diversion route.
The Order will come into effect on 8 January 2018 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 1, East Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 1, East Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from the end of the ramp on to the beach and continuing in a north easterly direction for a further 30 metres from the top of the ramp, for a total distance of approximately 45 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 8 January 2018 to 12 January 2018 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance to the tidal facing area of the tidal defence embankment is being undertaken.
The alternative route will be diverted from the ramp and the crest of the tidal defence to the beach for the extent of the works, with temporary steps provided as an alternative to the ramp. The Order will come into effect on 8 January 2018 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
