(Footpath 18, St Oysth and Footpath 29 & 31, Great Clacton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following Footpaths in the District of Tendring: Footpath 18, From its junction with St Oysth Footpath 29, Great Clacton,
north for a distance of approximately 47 metres. Footpath 29, From its junction with Great Clacton Footpath 18, St Osyth, to its junction with Belsize Avenue Footpath 31, From its western junction Great Clacton: with Footpath 29, Great Clacton to its eastern junction with Footpath 29, Great Clacton.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 11/09/2019 for up to 2 months between the hours 8am and 5pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and are required for flood defence investigative works.
The alternative route will be via the junction of Footpath 29, Great Clacton and Belsize Avenue, northwest and then southwest on path adjacent to Footpath 31 & Footpath 29, Great Clacton and northeast to Footpath 18, St Oysth and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 11/09/2019 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
