christmas message Councillor Peter De-Vaux Balbirnie

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE Councillor Peter De-Vaux Balbirnie MBE and his Wife Mavis Wish all the residents of Tendring a very happy Christmas and very best wishes for a happy, healthy and peaceful 2014. Special thoughts are with those who will be spending the holiday alone and also those working who provide the vital services to ensure our safety and wellbeing. Many charities have found 2013 has brought tough challenges as a result of the continuing economic cutbacks and we again this year send our Christmas message through our local media and have made the following donations in lieu of Christmas cards as follows:- The Rotary Club Christmas Day Lunch for the Elderly Up to 200 residents of Tendring attend the Christmas Day Lunch at the Clacton County High School organised by the Rotary Club, with the help of volunteers from all walks of life. Without this event many of our elderly and vulnerable residents would spend the day on their own so it is an opportunity to meet with others and enjoy the company and Christmas lunch with its festivities. A donation to each of the Parish Councils on which I serve to be put towards projects for the benefit of the local residents. Our message through the media is no less sincere and we do hope that you all have a very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2014. Peter and Mavis XX
