AS part of the Clacton Royal British Legion committee, it has been my privilege to organise some of the events that have been held in Clacton over this last year to celebrate our 90th anniversary.
Without the help and support of individuals and businesses, we could not have raised as much money to support our past and present Armed Forces and their dependents.
So, our grateful thanks go to the East of England Co-operative Society, Omega, JV Story and Spicer McColl estate agents, Clacton pier, and not forgetting Tendring Council, which have been most supportive and encouraging, from providing the poignant floral tribute to lighting up the Venetian Bridge - they have been superb. To all the supporters and collectors (both individuals and shops) in Clacton of the Poppy Appeal, thank you. Your time and efforts are truly valued.
