RECENTLY, while out, I suffered a fall in which I sustained injuries and subsequently needed treatment in both local hospitals.
I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the manner in which all the staff involved treated me, initially at the minor injuries unit at Clacton Hospital and then at Colchester Hospital.
At Colchester, I was examined in the A&E department, then assessed in the emergency assessment unit before being admitted to Nayland ward.
Although the medical treatment is the most important, I was also shown respect and kindness throughout.
This all helped ease a very painful accident and in view of the recent public criticism there has been about hospital treatment, I should like my own very different experience to be placed on record.
My sincere thanks to all concerned.
