Craig Revel Horwood says competing on Maestro At The Opera is like having his wrists slapped publicly for his acerbic comments on Strictly.
The TV judge, 47, is appearing with the likes of actress Josie Lawrence and DJ Trevor Nelson in the BBC Two conducting show.
"I'm having my wrists slapped and learning my lesson publicly, which is going to be a delight for some of the Strictly audience," he said.
Craig said of having the shoe on the other foot: "I don't really like that bit of it because I feel like a sweaty 12-year-old boy being told off.
"I've got too nervous a disposition for this show, I've discovered, but as I've signed a contract I have to go through with it."
:: Maestro At The Opera begins on BBC Two tonight (April 27).
