FRINTON Lawn Tennis Club's annual open day proved eventful.
A swarm of bees congregated around their queen on court eight - but they were outnumbered by the crowds that swarmed to the Holland Road club.
The popular mini tennis also created a buzz, with lead coach Chris Harris overseeing play, followed by the Miss Hits event, run by coach Jill Felstead.
The fastest serve challenge, headed up by coach Alex Brown, saw some of the club's seasoned players battling it out alongside a host of juniors giving their serves an outing.
There was an array of popular events throughout the day, including the Walton and Frinton Lifeboats raffle with a selection of luxury prizes, including an exclusive hamper donated by Wilkins and Sons.
The fine weather ensured that the club was a hive of activity and a great day was had by all.
