Witham Town’s home form could be key in keeping them in the Ryman League premier division this year according to assistant boss Brad King.

February is set to be a big month for the club as they look to preserve their top-flight status and following a home game against second-placed Margate that will close January on Saturday, they face a run of six out of seven games at the Village Glass Stadium.

Enfield are the visitors on Tuesday, with only a trip to leaders Maidstone United in the middle of the month punctuating the run of home action.

And with Witham still poised precariously just above the relegation places, King (pictured below) knows a good points haul from their home fixtures could be key to their survival plans.

He said: “I’ve said before that our home form will be the difference between us staying up and going down.

“I believe that a good return from February will give us a clearer picture of where we are.

“It’s a massive month.

“We are more than capable of staying up and have the squad to do that now and all I wish is that we had had the squad that we’ve got now at the start of the season."
