Braintree Town could face a trip to last season's beaten finalists in the second round of the FA Trophy.

The Iron will make the trip to either Gosport Borough or Basingstoke Town on January 10 after Monday's second round proper draw.

The two Vanarama Conference South clubs drew 2-2 on Saturday in their first round clash and will face a replay tomorrow night to see who will host Alan Devonshire's team next month.

Gosport, who were beaten 6-3 in the FA Cup first round by Colchester United last month, made it through to the final of the FA Trophy last season, when they lost 4-0 to Cambridge United at Wembley.

Braintree booked their place in the second round by beating AFC Sudbury 1-0 at the Miles Smith Stadium on Saturday, when Simeon Akinola's second-half goal proved the difference between the two sides.
