CAMPION 81 BRAINTREE 0
London League division two north east
Nine straight defeats from nine games – that’s the depressing statistic that the shell-shocked Braintree management team had to contemplate after a comprehensive hammering at the hands of a rampant Campion side.
After a promising performance the previous week against Norwich the Black and Ambers were hoping they might have turned a corner in what has been a dismal season to date.
Joint coach Brian Joslin said: “It was a tough day.
“Fair play to Campion as they totally dominated us from start to finish and were worthy winners.
“But we seem to take one step forward and three steps back at the moment.
“After a promising performance against Norwich the week before, we hoped to improve this week – how wrong could we have been!"
