Drey Wright marked his comeback from injury with two goals as Colchester United's under-21s battled back from two goals down to beat Brentford 3-2 at Florence Park.
Wright, who has not featured for the U's first team since the opening day of the season because of a knee injury, helped John McGreal's side recover a two-goal deficit to record back-to-back wins in Professional Development League Two.
Brentford raced into a two-goal lead after just 12 minutes and Colchester goalkeeper James Bransgrove also saved a penalty.
But Wright got Colchester back in the game from the penalty spot just before half-time, after he had been fouled in the area.
And the U's got back on level terms shortly after the break when Dion Sembie-Ferris got on the end of Bransgrove's kick and finished well.
Wright, who played for the full 90 minutes, completed Colchester's comeback and scored their winner with a fine free-kick, to seal victory for the home side.
