The battle for the division two title remains one of the Piri Piri North Essex League’s tightest this year and Sunday’s meeting between the top two is a winner-takes-all showdown to decide who will claim the silverware this year.
Boxted are the current leaders with a slender advantage over second-placed Great Horkesley & Lexden, so will hope to keep their pursuers at bay when they meet at Cage Lane.
It is the final game of the season for both in a campaign that has seen the lead change hands several times and Horkesley know they have to overturn a deficit of just 0.22 in the averages to make sure there is one last switch at the top.
