Bradley Garmston is determined to repay Joe Dunne’s faith in him after signing for Colchester United.
The West Bromwich Albion youngster has joined the U’s on a youth loan from the Premier League side, initially for a month.
Colchester have been tracking Garmston, who is a pacy and attack-minded left-back, for several weeks.
U’s boss Dunne has watched the 19-year-old playing for the Baggies’ under-21 side on a number of occasions.
And after linking up with Colchester, the Republic of Ireland under-19 international is keen to justify Colchester’s confidence in his ability.
Garmston said: “I’m delighted with the move to Colchester and I’m really excited.
“It’s fantastic that the gaffer has shown some faith in me and come to watch some of my games.
“It’s brilliant that he’s shown that belief in me and I want to come and make an impact in his squad.”
