Colchester United have completed the signing of veteran David Wright from Crystal Palace.
The 32-year-old former Ipswich Town player, who is the U's eighth signing of the transfer window, can play in a variety of positions.
Wright played much of his early career at full-back but over recent seasons, has played predominantly in midfield for Crystal Palace.
He has clocked up nearly 450 league appearances during his career and offers U's boss Joe Dunne another option in defence and midfield, particularly with skipper Kem Izzet still sidelined with an ankle injury.
