Dunne calls for U's to kick-start their season

Joe Dunne wants Colchester United to kick-start their season tomorrow.

The U’s host lowly Bury at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, looking to halt a run of three successive defeats.

Dunne wants them to rediscover the kind of form that saw him nominated for October’s League One manager of the month award.

The Colchester boss said he has had a productive week’s training with his players, after last weekend’s 3-2 reverse at Crewe Alexandra.

And he has vowed to put smiles back on the faces of U’s fans, following recent disappointing results.

Dunne said: “We want to go all out tomorrow and get that buzz of winning again."

This game is a vital must win game and, any loss of points tomorrow doesn't auger well for the remainder of the season!

It does seem that holding onto a lead has been more of an away than a home issue. But we still cannot afford to underestimate the opposition, despite their league position. Play with belief boys, and impose your self on the game - for the full 90 minutes...

Joe knows we must not underestimate Crewe regardeless of their league position. They are as much an established lower league club as we are and have a rich history in youth players.

A win is not vital at this stage of the season, but would got a long way for the teams confidence.

Super.....
I know your knowledge is far more superior than mine and probably most people's on here but I just thought that I would mention that we played Crewe last week. This Saturday's game is against Bury!!!!

In my opinion (and only my opinion for what it's worth) it is a vital game. Although we won’t get relegated if we lose, it would be 4 defeats on the bounce which is not good for confidence or morale. Playing a team in Bury's position we should be expecting a win at home, otherwise, who can we expect to beat???

Come on Joe and come on the U’s. We're right behind you.

I might have been in a coma for a week.

Allow me to start again.......

Joe knows that we should not have underestimated Crewe last week. We might not have been beaten should we have given more respect to there youth system!!!!!!!!

Bury. Now that's a poor team right there. Second bottom and all that, they have more points from 3 games than col u have. Home win for the u's. I have my fingers crossed.

So Joe wants to put a smile back on our faces. He could start by hopefully making changes to the defensive line up, as in the previous games our record has shown that the defense is inept, apart from young Eastman.

To make me smile I hope we see a major overhaul of our defense, but somehow I don’t think that may happen. (I know, wait and see)

Instead I feel we may get the usual “The lads have been training well and know what is expected of them blah blah blah”.

Please Change it Joe as it ain't working (defense).

Have to agree three points are a must from this game and a sound defensive display would certainly put a smile back on my face

Up the U’s

I am watching Colchester v Bury tomorrow. No doubt that Super Waluigi, Nora and Boris will be watching another game like they normally do. Bury are in excellent form. A scrappy 1-0 win will be fine for me.

We're mid table and its November tomorrow is certainly not a must win. Bury have won 3 of last 4 league games and drawn the other so are in full confidence. Yes we should win as we're at home, the good thing is at least with joe in charge you know that's what we'll try it and do, like we did at 2,2 last week ok didn't work then but I'd prefer we go for the win, death or glory and all that.
Like to see a few changes, hopefully the Pompey lad starts along with ith o'toole. Henderson hasn't impressed recently but set up and scored last week so deserves to stay in. Any win would be good, but be good to see a lean sheet
