Walton D confirmed their promotion from division two of the Clacton and District League with a 9-1 win over rivals Windsor Hawks.

George Kalli was their best player on the night, with an unbeaten three.

Although Colin Dearman recorded his own maximum, it was a close 11-7 in the decider against John Barton.

Dearman and John Rice maintained Walton’s unbeaten doubles record with a 12-10 in the fifth win against Andy Vincent and Dave Austin, while Vincent picked up the Hawks’ sole point with a victory in four over John Rice.

The Hawks are still favourites to take the second promotion spot but Nomads Lions have not given up the chase, beating Brotherhood F 8-2.
