CLACTON'S Cannons Basketball Club suffered a heartbreaking 55-44 defeat in their Suffolk Plate semi-final at home to the Leopards.
The sides met in a dramatic match at Clacton Leisure Centre on Friday night.
However, it was the visitors who took the spoils to claim their place in the final.
Leopards then went on to win the silverware following a two-point victory over Colchester Cobras.
Meanwhile, Cannons are looking for new members for next season's senior, under-13 and under-11 teams.
