CLACTON Swimming Club’s great run continued in their first open gala of 2018.
Last year proved their most successful for a decade, with 13 swimmers achieving 42 county times and taking part in the county finals at Stratford’s Olympic pool in February.
It meant they were full of confidence and enthusiasm at the Colchester gala.
The team ended the day with a huge haul of gold, silver and bronze medals.
Special mention goes to Isabelle Young, who won four gold medals in her age group, including winning the 100 metres freestyle - beating the silver medallist by nine seconds.
Coach Lisa Lawrence said: “We're full of anticipation at the moment.
"It's a very young team who are passionate about swimming and have worked extremely hard over the last year.
"It's exciting to see what we will achieve this year.”
