FRINTON Golf Club's ladies played 36 holes over two days, competing for the Centenary Salvers.
Junior captain Claire Vaughan had a fabulous gross score of 174, winning the salver that was first presented to the club in 1995 by Gladys Chamberlain.
Marie Ellis was second with 180 gross and Angela Low placed third with 195.
In the nett competition, captain Marilyn Clarke won the MacMillan Salver with 155 nett.
This trophy was presented by Janet MacMillan, also in 1995.
Ellis was a close second with 156 and young Lily Taylor was third with 159.
Meanwhile, Frinton's men and ladies went head to head for the McManus Bowl, a matchplay event.
Last year it was a tie but this year the men prevailed, winning the trophy 4-1.
Wayne Ross continued to confound his critics by winning the Friday stableford with 42 points.
Scotty Boyle and Mike Welling also scored 42, but lost on countback.
Finally, Vaughan had a really good week, with another fine performance.
She won the Junior Sabine Cup with an excellent 70 gross – 65 nett.
Brother Stephen came second with 71 nett, just ahead of Jack Partridge on countback.
