THE leaders of all three divisions in the Clacton and District Table Tennis League tightened their grip on their respective titles - and none more so than Walton D, in division three, who were convincing 9-1 winners over Nomads Ocelots.

Fourteen-year-old Jared Chelski, clearly a class apart at this level, retained his 100 per cent record for the season while Daniel Young, only 12 years old and having lost only once all season, also remained unbeaten.

Young also took the opportunity to avenge his only loss of the current campaign, making no mistake in reversing an early-season defeat by beating Arthur Wells-Garrett in three-straight.

Second-placed Nomads Wildcats defeated Windsor Ospreys 7-3 but are now 13 points adrift. There were three for Doug Green and a couple for Mike Hillier, while Robbie Strutt's two for the Ospreys included an 11-5 in the fifth success against Hillier.

Debra Found was unbeaten as Windsor Penguins defeated Brotherhood J 8-2, with Brotherhood's Harley Wood showing marked improvement in beating both Jackie Bunce and Alan Charman.

The Brotherhood J side later went down 7-3 to Windsor Kites, with Georgia Ayton taking two and Wood one.

Chris Simson remained unbeaten for the Kites.

Simson also took his three against Nomads Caracals but it couldn't stop his side losing 6-4.

Chris Jones and Yasmin Ticquet each won two for the Caracals.

Brotherhood G drew with Nomads Lynx for a second time this season.

Brotherhood's Paul Metcalf won three, with Rob Bright and Jo Millar taking a point each.

Dave Harris and Liam Harris won a pair apiece for the Lynx.

In division one, odds-on favourites Nomads Panthers beat Brotherhood B 8-2, with James Denyer's three including an excellent 11-6 in the decider win over previously-unbeaten Andy Warner.

There were trebles for Felipe Rodriguez and Colin Stallwood as second-placed Windsor Condors had an 8-2 victory over Windsor Hawks.

It was good to see Paul Newbould back in action for Walton A, chalking up two wins as his side defeated Windsor Owls 9-1.

There were hat-tricks here for John Rankin and Kevin James.

Brotherhood H extended their lead in division two to 19 points with a 10-0 victory over Nomads Jaguars.

Nomads reserve Mike Wellum played well without success, taking both Grant Sharpe and Graham Parkes close in five.

The battle for the runners-up spot is becoming a two-way shoot-out between Brotherhood D and Brotherhood F.

The D side were without a match but the F team had a testing tussle with Nomads Bobcats which ended all-square.

Lawrence Torr was unbeaten for Brotherhood.

Fourth-placed Nomads Tigers had a 9-1 win over Windsor Magpies, with John Marshall and Tony Robinson recording trebles.

Windsor's Dave Sweetland had an unexpected victory over Phil Wolski, 11-8 in the fifth.

Ray Chillingworth and Dan Malinowski took hat-tricks as Windsor Buzzards defeated Brotherhood E 8-2.

It was also 8-2 for Windsor Harriers against Walton C, with Ferdy Rodriguez unbeaten.

Walton's John Long had a marathon 11-7, 11-13, 9-11, 17-15, 12-10 win over Jenny Higgins.
