ST OSYTH Boxing Club were represented by two boxers in different shows in London.

Jordan Gosling, who has only been boxing for seven months, took to the ring for the first time at the Sheraton Hotel, in Mayfair, for Lansbury Boxing Club's show.

In a very well-matched skills bout, Gosling started the stronger, exhibiting skills and power with fantastic jabs and a wicked right hook.

His East London opponent then replied with vigour.

It was a very even bout, with both boys working hard.

Anton Baldock appeared at the Royal National Hotel, on the Islington Boxing Show.

He fought a boxer from the home club, who had several wins under his belt.

Baldock had been training hard but not boxed for nearly two years.

He was out-boxed in the first round, but came back to win the second as his nerves began to settle and his ring rust disappeared.

The third was a good display from both boxers and could have gone either way.

However, when the cards were announced, it was the home boxer, by a very close split decision, who took the victory.

"It was my own fault," said Baldock afterwards.

"I let the nerves get to me and he exploited it in the first round. That's what won him the fight.

Baldock, who has helped coach at the club, is now off to study in France for a few months but will return early in 2017.
